10 emotional goals you need to set in 2023 and how to reach them

Image
2023 is just around the corner, and sadly, many of us haven't been able to reach our 2022 goals.  But instead of criticizing ourselves for not being self-disciplined and sticking to our healthy routine, let us congratulate ourselves for sustaining through difficult times. I remember writing down my yearly goals on January 1, 2022, and I was so excited to meet them. One of them was writing a  self-help book    which I accomplished within five months, and I am so proud of myself. Other than this, I was able to complete a few more, though some are still pending. But instead of wasting time on criticism, let's concentrate on what lies in store for us in the future. For each of us, the beginning of the year feels like setting new intentions, accomplishing some materialistic things, and earning more money. But sadly, there are very few who focus on their well-being and set targets to improve their mental and emotional health. As a preacher of self-love and mental health, I...

Why letting go of control can help you enjoy your life?

Image
Don't we all want things to go our way? It is our right to be happy and content in all areas of our lives. While we try to fix everything, be it jobs, relationships, or wealth, we forget to enjoy the little moments of life. We believe that we have to put more effort into getting the results we want. But sometimes, leaving things in God's hands can be fruitful. Controlling every aspect of life can be draining and exhausting and can bring negative emotions, which can lead to dissatisfaction. When you realize you have no control over external events, you can redirect your efforts elsewhere. You can concentrate on the only thing over which you have control: your responses, mindset, attitude, and outlook.  Furthermore, your confidence and focus can be increased, which can lead to a greater sense of strength and contentment. Why do we feel the urge to control things? There are times when some things will work out as we planned, and there will be times when things will not go our way....

Why self-love is important before getting into a relationship?

Image
Self-love is not a new term for anyone. Whenever you open your social media, you always get a post shared by someone telling you to love yourself before you love someone else. But there are still many men and women who claim they love themselves yet they get this urge to be loved by someone else, which is entirely normal.  Even a self-love coach will like to settle down with the love of their life, but the only difference between a person who genuinely loves themselves and a person who only claims to love themselves, is that the former is never desperate to get into a relationship. A true self-lover focuses on improving themselves day by day while a "fake self-lover" gets upset seeing other people posting the reels with their partner. Yes, sometimes it happens. When you are all alone, you want to get cuddled by your partner, talk deeply with them, and share your best and worst moments with them. Because the honeymoon period is never the same, every relationship eventually hit...

Do you feel like bad things keep happening to you one after the other? If some days things are not happening as you desired, do you feel like something is not good? Most of us live our lives feeling okay. We pray to God to get us out of bad situations, and when those situations disappear from our lives, we feel happy for a few minutes or days, and then we again get back to the cycle of feeling okay. Everyone says to keep thinking positively all the time, but how do we do so? How can someone generate good thoughts 24x7?  Is it possible? Let's find out! Being positive all the time sucks!!! Those who say "be positive no matter what" is simply spreading toxic positivity. According to  Wikipedia - "It is a pressure to stay upbeat no matter how dire the situation is." One cannot be happy or even okay if someone in his family is sick or he recently got fired. Hence, the point of remaining positive in difficult situations is invalid.  However, developing and maintaining...

Do you hate spending time alone? Do you get frustrated when suddenly your plans to go out get canceled? I am sure most of you probably answered yes to the above questions. Because why not? A man is a social animal, and he always wants to be surrounded by a group of people to chill with and have fun. Image
Do you also feel people keep getting under your skin? Do you often get irritated by someone else's simple yet weird habits?  If so, you are not alone here! We all sometimes get disturbed by the behavior of others.  Now let me tell you the hard TRUTH!  If you keep getting offended or even hurt by someone's words, actions, or behavior, that is your problem. Because people behave according to their knowledge, wisdom, and karma. This does not have to do anything with you or your mood.  You might think that it is impossible to keep calm when someone is constantly making you angry, frustrated, or irritated.  But ask yourself if they are giving you the negative emotions or are you creating them on your own?  When we are aware that our soul is made of seven qualities, which are purity, peace, love, joy, bliss, power, and knowledge, then why would we create negative emotions and hurt ourselves? We believe that the other person is to blame for how we feel because we ...

React vs Respond: What should you do?

Image
Do you also regret your words after a conversation? We spend most of our time reacting to events and things happening in our environment. The problem is that these reactions aren't always the best course of action; as a result, they can upset others, make things worse for us, and even worsen the situation. Sometimes we don't even intend to hurt others, but because we unknowingly react to the words of others, we may end up hurting our loved ones.  This is why it is widely said by doctors and motivational and spiritual leaders to respond instead of reacting. Before we move on to the practical advantages of responding, we must first know the difference between the two. Once we are aware of the pros and cons of reacting, we will automatically implement responding in our behavior. Reacting refers to an instant response to an event or circumstances. For example, you hit me, so I'll hit you. You cheated, so I'll cheat as well. You irritated me. I will irritate you more. A reac...
